My name is Danna See-har and I am currently finishing my bachelor’s degree at McGill University with a major in Environmental Sciences (Honours) and a minor in Economics. My research interests fall somewhere in between these two disciplines in Environmental Planning. After three years of studies I still consider myself in the beginning stages of my education and I am looking forward to accumulating practical experience. Currently, I am working on my thesis project which involves using a multi-criteria evaluation method to compare alternative projects proposed for the Meadowbrook golf course conflict occurring in Montreal. Each alternative project will be plotted against social, economic, and environmental criteria and focus groups with individual stakeholders will be conducted to deduce preferred alternative projects. The alternative which best satisfies the majority of stakeholders will then be identified. With the results from this project, I hope to assist in this complex decision-making process.
