Bio

Picture
Anna is from Boston, Massachusetts. She completed her undergraduate degree in Applied Ecology from McGill University in 2014. During her time living in the West Island of Montreal, she was very involved with the farming community there. She is also involved with the ESMontreal blog which aims to connect Montrealers with their natural environment.  Other interests include science education and communication.

She likes cooking, strolling, urban gardening, farmers markets, and forever stamps.

Research Interests

Anna is interested in the sustainability of agricultural production.  Her master’s thesis is focused on and social and biophysical drivers of nutrient cycling in the Ste. Lawrence Basin. She is also interested in agricultural efficiency. How can we improve our metrics to better account for the environmental impacts of production?
