Alejandra Zaga Mendez

MSc Candidate in Renewable Resources with Environment Option

Alejandra’s interest is environmental issues and their social implications grew through her engagement in environmental and social movements in Québec. Inspired by her undergraduate studies in agro-environmental science, Alejandra is interested in study and to analyze land use in agricultural zones in Québec. Her research focuses in the evolution of land use of agricultural zones in the Monteregie area, where shale gaz exploration has been recently introduced.
Alejandra has experience in facilitating environmental education workshops at the community and the school level, and has also participated in international environmental events.
